Description
This is one fine prewar 3. #9488-46. Cut rim with Dannick tone ring. Frank Neat neck with Wreath pattern on rosewood. All metal is original and in very good shape, very little flange warp-age. ***This is NOT a "Fat Boy" rim. It's the standard 19/32" that you see on later 3's and 75's.***Original Presto has been punched by Jerry Keys. Set up with Wadsworth bridge and original pancake Grover tuners that I recently cleaned and reconditioned. The frets were dressed recently by Robin Smith so they play and feel perfect. Comes to you complete with a $15K official appraisal from Steve Huber in a newer TKL arched hard case. The reserve price is well below that value. The tone is deep, sweet and hollow like you'd expect with a prewar 3 and a Dannick tone ring.I ship with insured UPS 3 Day select, but we can talk about upgrading to quicker shipping after the close of auction. No returns and item is sold as is, so PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS or request additional photos before bidding. THIS BANJO WILL NOT BE RE-LISTED IF NOT SOLD. Thanks for lookingOn Oct-06-08 at 15:35:33 PDT, seller added the following information:A copy of the Steve Huber appriasal is available to serious bidders.
