French - Alain, Dupre ' Description Be sure to check out my other organ music auctions.  I'll be adding daily for a few days.  This auction is for three volumes (two of which were expensive imports back in the day) of contemporary French composers.1.  Marcel Dupre, Op. 20, Variations sur un Noel Pour Grand Orgue, Alphonse Leduc, Paris (Reference 30).  There are twenty-five pages of music with only spare pencil notations in the margins.  Variation I has the melody line highlighted with thin yellow highlighter, but it's not distracting - at least not to me.  The picture below is from Variation V. 2.  Jehan Alain, Trois Pieces pour Grand Orgue.  Alphonse Leduc, Paris, Reference 20.  Contains:  Variations sur un theme de Clement Jannequin, Le Jardin suspendu, Litanies.  Of the three, only Variations sur un theme de Clement Jannequin is marked.   The other two pieces are clean as a whistle.  The binding is staples, and the cover is torn along the spine from the bottom up to the first staple, but the music is still being held together well by the staples and does not appear to be in any danger of tearing like the cover.  15 pages of music.  The picture below is from the Variations. 3.  Marcel Dupre, Seventy-Nine Chorales for the Organ.  Opus 30, H.W Gray.  The condition of the music is excellent.  There are some occasional rust marks from where paper clips once held some pages, and I found a notation of "nice" on one of the chorales.  There may be more pencil markings, but I couldn't find any when I took a stroll down Memory Lane here.  "This book contains 79 easy Chorales for organ written on the melodies of the 79 old Chorales which Bach used in his Chorale Preludes."  A nice volume with a fairly tight binding, so you will need to work a bit to get it to lay flat on the music desk. As with my other organ music auctions, all the music is in excellent used condition.  Only the Variations on Noel have a name sticker on the cover, and, as mentioned above, there will be pencil notations scattered about the music.
