Description
Please be sure to check my other auctions for more great organ music!  I think this will be it for the organ music.  At least for now.  Stay tuned if you enjoy piano music, teach piano, or have friends who do.  Please send those friends my way because I'll be listing some really nice stuff - classical mostly, some teaching methods, maybe some occasional pop thrown in.This auction is for three volumes of 20th century composers, namely Helmut Walcha, Alec Wyton, and Leo Sowerby.  The common musical thread in this lot is that all consist of chorales or hymn tunes.1.  Choralvorspiele I,  Helmut Walcha, Peters Nr. 4850.  There are 25 chorale preludes in this first volume for Advent, Christmas, Death and Eternity, Epiphany, Lent, and also the general themes of Church, Evening, Morning, Trust, Worship.  Scattered pencil notations.  Some tape residue and minimal damage from its removal on the first chorale.  I don't remember exactly why that is there, but a very good guess would be that I, The Great Lazy One, had overlaid the C clef with music transposed to F clef.  That is the only chorale with C clef and the only one with tape residue.  Otherwise great condition.  In the gallery picture, this volume is the pink one on top.  Here's a shot of an inside page: 2.  A Little Christian Year.  Seasonal Hymn Preludes for Organ, Harmonium, or Piano.  Alec Wyton.  Carl Fischer 0 4444.  Contents include hymn preludes for Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Passiontide, Easter, Ascensiontide, Whitsuntide (Pentecost), and Trinity.  Music is on two staves with pedal indications.  Here's a picture of the music: 3.  The Snow Lay on the Ground.  Arranged by Leo Sowerby.  Saint Cecilia Series GSTC 919.  Aside from a name sticker on the cover, the music is in like-new condition.  No marks that I could find.  Apparently this was one I bought when I saw it and then shelved it for another time.  As with my other organ music auctions, all the music is in very nice used condition, most with either name stickers or handwritten name, pencil notations scattered about the music. I accept various forms of payment - PayPal, credit/debit cards through an additional merchant account (no Discover cards), non-rubber checks, money orders. Thanks for looking.  Happy bidding.
