I imported it back when I was really attracted to big bell didjeridoos. I imported many back then and only have a few that I kept around. This is one of the most special ones that I own. It is in the key of C# and is quite loud. It is one of those didjes that likes to get warmed up, then it really comes alive with it's subtleties. It is very heavy, I'l say it is about 15 to 18 pounds. It's bell, which seems to be a burl, is 12" wide. It is 60"tall. It is made of Mallee Eucalyptus which is common in many parts of Australia and seems have dozens of varieties. Among other things, it produces a useful oil. This didjeridoo is truly a one of a kind. It is from Southeast Australia about 50 miles west of Dubbo from the the Wiradjuri people. They are the first inhabitants of the Bathurst district and have been living here for at least 40,000 years. The Wiradjuri people are the people of the mountains, rivers and plains whose heritage is rich and ancient. Wiradjuri country extends from the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range, near Lithgow, and is bounded by the three rivers: Macquarie (Wambool), Lachlan (Kalari), Murrumbidgee (retained its original name). It was a land described by early European explorers as fertile, abundant in fish and game. Wiradjuri people had their own language and a rich culture of stories and songs.
