Description
kendrickson store Olds Super Trombone....Fabulous Condition!!! Here is an Olds Super Los Angeles trombone in exceptionally good condition. The horn looks absolutely beautiful, and it plays just as well! The slide is extremely smooth and fast. It is the best slide I have ever had on any of my trombones. The tuning slide moves freely as well. The lacquer finish on this horn is in great condition. I would estimate it to be ninety-eight percent or more intact. The serial number is 1140xx, and all the numbers match. The interior of the case is in good condition, but the bottom of the exterior is not so good. There are no blemishes of any significance on the horn itself. Here are the blemishes that I have found: There is a small ding on the tuning slide which can be seen in one of the pictures. There is some minor lacquer wear on the hand slide which can be seen in the pictures. There is a very minor spot of wear or pitting on one of the stockings (you may be able to see it in one of the pictures...too small to get a good picture). The other stocking looks perfect. The outer handslide has a rattle inside the brace. I assume it is a piece of solder that ended up inside the brace when it was made. It doesn't bother me, but may bother you (the player can hear it just a little bit on fast slide movements- no one else will hear it but the player). There is a very small area on the bell section that is scratched from the latch inside the case. It is not very noticable and wouldn't really show in the pictures (it is pictured, but is not severe enough to show up well). These are all the blemishes on the horn. I have tried to disclose any blemishes on the horn so that you know exactly what you will be receiving. The truth is that the horn looks great and none of the blemishes mentioned can be seen until close inspection is made. This was the horn that I used personally and had planned never to sell. Unfortunately, I have to even though it pains me to do so. I will probably never have a horn like this again, but my loss will be your gain. This is a very nice horn and will last for many years of enjoyment. Please bid with confidence as I have been honest with the description of the horn, and I believe you will find it to be as nice as described. If there are any questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you for your interest.
