E. Olds & Son Studio Model Cornet. (Los Angeles, Calif.) The serial number is 57467. The horn plays easily and sounds great. It is made of brass and the end of the bell is silver. The cornet is 15 1/2" long with a 4 3/4" bell. The valves move smoothly and have good action. The valve finish is very nice with minimal wear. The top/bottom valve caps unscrew for oiling and the spit valve works fine. The 4 tuning slides move freely and have good pop. The cornet has a small dent on the bow, a few very small dents on the left side and a couple of small dents on the leadpipe. The finish shows wear as pictured. An Olds mouthpiece is included. (rough) The case is rough but serviceable with torn material on the edges and bad latch springs. Place a Bid!
