Structurally it's sound. The frame is Rosewood, the head is Goat Skin and the frame is 18" in diameter and 3 1/2 inches tall.  Includes a tipper and a tuning wrench. There is nothing wrong with the Chanter other than it was laying around. The Book is wrinkly from being wet but reads like new. The Tape & CD are also new. The Chanter is traditional size, engraved nickeled ferrule, sole & rosewood body.  Played by itself, this is the first step to learning the bagpipes.  Includes reed. Key of B-flat. Wood Grain may vary. Key of low A on the Celtic Scale equivalent to B-flat on the western scale. The finger holes are slightly (not much) closer and the holes are larger than on a bagpipe chanter.  This is for beginners.  It's usually easier for most people to learn the fingering if the holes are more comfortably spaced and larger to feel. Practice Chanter tutorial by Pipe Major R.T. Shepherd.  Includes photographs of finger positions,  exercises, melodies & more. The tape & CD are also by R. T. Shepherd. It can be used alone or to accompany the book.
