It's about 2 to 3 inches round. The embossed brass makes it hard to see it. The Dayan is made of a variety of woods, depending on accessibility. Usually it is a Toon or Rosewood, occasionally a Teak.City of origin: Mumbai. Cushion colors and patterns may vary. The dayans are around 5-5.5" playing diameter.  The Bayans are around 10-10.5 diameter. Standard wooden tabla is paired with a nickeled brass bayan decorated with embossing.   Both are strap tuned. Includes the standard soft case, cushions, covers, and tuning hammer. Cushion colors and patterns may vary.  "Scratch & Dent" or "Blemished" products are denoted by a "-2" after the product code.  They are New and Unused but are considered Second Quality.  This means that there is some esthetic irregularity.
