I bought these from the Mic Shop in Nashville back in December (nine months ago) to use on a recording project in my pet-free, smoke-free home studio. They were handled with extreme care at all times and always stored in their boxes when not in use. I paid $2550 plus shipping for the pair. The project is finished now and I'm selling the mics to help pay production costs. The Mic Shop is one of the leading dealers for vintage Neumann mics. Everything they sell is thoroughly cleaned, tested and checked out. I'll send a copy of the original invoice to the buyer to prove my date of purchase (12/05/07). These are two beautiful mics in excellent condition. I asked Bill Bradley at the Mic Shop to find me a matched pair for stereo recording and out of the dozen or so he had in stock at the time the best match came from different colored mics. That turned out to be a good thing because I could always remember which mic I used for left or right. Their serial numbers are: 55208 and 53344. He currently doesn't have any KM84s in the store and they're getting harder to come by - especially in this condition. Beware of buying other vintage Neumanns on eBay, especially from overseas.
