Description You are bidding on a completly refurbished (by Neumann factory) Neumann SX-74 Serial# 729 Stereo Cutterhead for vinyl mastering. This was the last in the series of Neumann Cutterheads manufactured for stereo disc mastering with all of the refinements including high temperature coils, increased magnet strength and extended frequency response plus enhancements for "hot" high level cutting capabilities. Sold for over $26,000 when new! This particular cutterhead was checked out and alighned by Georg Neumann in August of 1988 and has never been used and been in storage ever since as a spare. It is designed to be driven by the Neumann SAL74B Electronics package (not included). Checkout all 12 pictures below for details and closeups.
