Pads are in great shape .. it plays perfect , ,with no issues and sounds gorgeous like all muramatsus. in my opinion the quality is almost as good as the current 15,000$ gold flutes, the only substantial  difference is the expensive metal in the more expensive models. and this one has  a C foot , closed hole so its perfect for beginner/intermediate players or professional traditional style players.  Like I said, all the same muramatu top of the line professional quality but without the useless expensive gold metal. this is a best buy. I have sold about 10 of these for the same price in the same condition. So I  know this is the going rate.
