This MMR-1 mandolin comes with a Life Time warranty, Dean Markley Art-Trans Pickup, & New Morgan Monroe Gator style Mandolin Case.   All Solid Hand Carved Spruce & Flamed Maple  The MMR-1 is the very top of the line Morgan Monroe mandolin made. The MMR-1 Morgan Monroe mandolin is about twice as loud as the their MMS-8 F-style mandolin. The top is hand carved solid spruce, and the back, sides and neck are hand carved flamed maple. The fretboard is radiused ebony as well as the fitted ebony bridge. The nut is radiused bone, and the frets are medium in size. It is very easy to make chords on this mandolin, because the neck plays so easy. The powerful sound that comes from the MMR-1 will let you pick out any tune. The MMR-1 is so powerful because it has a special bracing system that reduces the damping factor of the soundboard, and it has an extra deep body which provides wonderful resonance and sustain. The tone right now is woody clear, with even highs and even lows. The finish is a hand rubbed oil that really lets the wood breathe and vibrate. I have it set this mandolin up with D'Addario J74 mandolin strings.
