Based on the success of our Home Theatre PowerCenters, the 2250 was constructed to deliver enough dedicated, ultra high performance amplification necessary to reproduce movies and music sound as accurately as the artists intended you to hear it. Each channel comes equipped with independent power supplies and toroidal transformers for more efficient transmission of power. Large capacitance filter caps provide the kind of reserves needed to prevent power sags and low-frequency clipping when all channels are driven. Finally, the advanced circuitry uses Monster's unique "push/pull" technology on the input/output stage to deliver ultra-wide bandwidth performance for best reproduction of high-resolution 192kHz DVD-A and SACD formats. Created in part by Richard Marsh--one of the world's leading designers and developers of high performance consumer electronics--and conceived, designed, tested and used by the Head Monster himself, these units were built by the experts for those who demand the best. Monster Mirrored Amplifier Technology™ ensures low distortion, greater clarity even at the highest power levels. Laboratory-grade digital power meters monitor actual power output and dynamic range. 250 watts per channel, 500 watts total with all channels driven. 400 continuous watts all channels driven into 4 Ohms, instantaneous peak power all channels driven greater than 300 watts per channel/8 Ohms, 500 watts/4 Ohms.
