Description This auction includes one Vintage (20 year old) Marshall Model 2553, JCM 50/25w.  Yes, this is a non-Silver Jubilee! One of, if not the best sounding amp Marshall has ever made.  It's in great condition, very clean, no tears or scuffs in the tolex. It has been very well cared for and never gigged with. Functions 100% and has absolutely NO issues. It has the exact same specs as the Silver. If your not farmiliar with them in short it has an optional switch to run it at 25 or 50 watts, a push-pull output master volume and a push-pull input gain. The serial number (W 18115) dates it to 1988. I bought it, virtually unplayed, from the original owner. He was a casual player when he bought it. Shortly after he gave up playing and it just sat in his smoke-free home until I bought it about a year ago. The Marshall 2553 has a tone to die for and is a personal favorite for players like Slash and John Frusciante. If you look around on Ebay you will occasionally see some of the silver models for sale (ranging in price from about $1400-$2200), but you will rarely ever see a black one. In fact I have never seen one go up for sale since I bought the amp, I've haven't seen one in a store in years. Don't hesitate to bid as this is a very clean example. I no longer ship out of the USA, its just not worth all of the trouble, so please absolutely NO overseas bids. I will guarantee that the item will be packaged with high quality materials.
