Description You are bidding on a 5 octave marimba from Malletech.  This was my pride and joy throughout my percussive career in college!!!  I took EXQUSITIE care of this instrument.  From looking at it....it still looks brand new!!  This marimba is the non height adjustable 5 octave version.  The bars are made of solid Honduran Rosewood for the ultimate in tone and clarity.  The resonators are made of solid brass and do not have a single ding or scratch on them.  I have cared for this instrument EXTREMELY well.  The only thing that might be less than perfect with this instrument is that the low C is starting to sound as if it might have a hairline crack in the bar.  I have checked this out with reputable sources and this is a very fixable problem. You can either replace the bar (which is not that costly) or try to have the crack sanded out.  I paid $12,000 for this brand new and because of the one slight imperfection, I am cutting the starting price to $9500.  Over $2000 off for one little minor issue that might cost $50-$100 to fix.   Other than this...the instrument is in new condition.  When I disassembled this instrument, I always wore white gloves to make sure that the wood and brass were never touched..hence no fingerprints at all!!!!Any specs that you may need on this instrument you can find at www.mostlymarimba.com.  You will find the info under the Imperial Grand 5.0Dont miss your chance to own this beautiful instrument.  Shipping is not an option...I am offering pickup only.Any questions?  Feel free to askThanks for looking and happy bidding!!
