This MFT drum has the proven offset top sound port. This allows more air volume for the bass note and less air volume for the high note.       ("OP"=offset port) Why bury, cover, or muffle the sound on the bottom when it can flow freely out the top. This allows the gentle, subtle, beautiful sounds to be heard clearly without having to pound on the drum or use mallets. Also, you can set the drum down on it's bottom and play without needing a stand or legs because the sound port is on the top. This feature also makes a convenient carrying handle. This model has the easy to play "Standard 8", MILLTONE Drum eight note tuning pattern. These magnets are strong enough to stay in place, but can be moved up or down to perfectly tune each tongue. Before I ship the drum, I tune each tongue to +/- .02 cents using a Turbo Tuner Stroboscopic Chromatic tuner. You can use a regular guitar tuner which is accurate to about +/- 1 or 2 cents if you want to make adjustments. This feature is more for the studio or gigging musician.    You can happily play this drum to your hearts content without worrying about tuning at all. It is not complicated, but really simple, easy, and fun for the beginner or professional to play.     These tanks have been custom engineered by MILLTONE Drums using a different manufacturing process than is used to make propane tanks. They are designed to be made into musical tongue drums, not pressure tanks.  After they arrive, they are inspected, carefully cut, then tuned by an experienced and dedicated craftsman using new techniques that allow for perfect tuning with the small high power magnets after painting and again as paint cures.   Of course the pictures can't capture the real beauty and depth of this drum.  This drum features a Solid White Top and Bottom with four Black MILLTONE logos around the outside, and one white and blue oval logo inside.
