Description
hey there.this M400, #418, is out of revolver studios, new zealand. she is currently in wellington, new zealand. has been used by the split enz (if you know who they are).she is playable as is, but she really needs new tape (250 USD). the current tape is worn and some tapes have been respliced (see photos). the bearings are a bit loud and will need attention. the cabinet will need sanding and repainting. the control motor needs the low noise mod (DIY instructins online) as it is a CMS 15. the power supply is a little loose also.apart from that, there is no rust inside. i rung mellotronics (so helpful) and went through it and everything is as it should be (apart from what i wrote above)i play it as it is, and got it initially with the idea of doing it up for keeps but have discovered that id rather save and get a new mellotron. it was like a V12, i had to do it just to see. ive enquired around new zealand but nobodys really keen. id be stoked if it went to australia or the states, wherever really. im not sure how much it would cost to freight. sea would be the one to look into. id be happy to pack it tight for the journey. i didnt know what to write in the shipping fees box so disregard it.heres a chance to get a cheap one. bid with confidence. though new zealand may be far away, we are not romanian hustlers.please ask any questions. i can supply a youtube video if needed. On Oct-14-08 at 21:11:53 PDT, seller added the following information:OCTOBER 14: just had word from my technician who assures me that all sockets and plugs and electrolytic capacitors have been replaced by him this month.
