His father was perhaps the most famous builder at Ramirez and the preferred builder of Segovia. Mariano himself established himself  with the magnificent guitars he built with Teodoro Perez and the Tezano-Perez label. The two have gone their seperate ways and both continue to build fine guitars on their own. Mariano is recognized today as one of the worlds best builders. This particular guitar was commissioned by me to be built with a traditional 664mm scale. This guitar is so outstanding that I do not think a finer instrument is available in the world today. Mariano builds unique,exclusive instruments for me that are the pinnacle of his skills using the very best woods in his stock. I can assure you this guitar is a notch up from any guitar you can find anywhere. The 664mm scale,which I beleive is necessary for a concert guitar has put this instrument in a league of it's own. There is not another anywhere as all are built with a shorter 650mm scale. You will not find any guitar with Brazilian rosewood that is more beautiful.  The sound and playability of this instrument is something to behold. The longer scale does not make the guitar any more difficult to play than a 650 scale yet the sonic benifits are undeniable( Ramirez knew what they were doing back in the 60's when all of the guitars were 664mm scale). The guitar is a 2007 Maestro model and has only been played a few hrs total. Basically,as new!!
