The sure-footed base design and the weight balanced positioning for the instrument, leaves it many times more stable than most other metal and plastic stands on the market. It would take a considerable amount of effort to dislodge an instrument from this stand (see photo). The design of the stand is such that the weight of the instrument is supported by the body and not by the neck, as with other stands. This leaves the neck of your guitar absolutely unstressed and the action uncompromised. This stand is constructed of 3/4"  MAHOGANY hardwood. Each stand is crafted from the same board to insure a consistent color and grain match. It is then clear finished with a durable spray-on varnish. It's all-in-one design allows It to conveniently and quickly fold in the center due to the heavy-duty brass hinge. It can then be easily carried by the balanced, built in handle or simply tucked away for storage. It is also easily tucked under your arm to leave hands free to carry your guitar. Packing after a gig or studio session is a simple,one step action, just grab the top with one hand, fold and carry. There are no parts to disassemble and possibly lose in transit. The stand is held in the open position by a genuine leather strap. The strap is set at the shop to a standard setting, but easily re-adjusts to best fit your prized instrument. The four rear points of contact are lined with thick, natural lambs wool felt, an attractive and safe choice next to your guitars finish.The foot lining is a soft rubber like material that runs the full length. Other simular stands use felt or small rubber dots that would leave certain guitars resting on wood itself or at least bumping or rubbing against when setting down. Besides providing a soft resting place, The foot lining with it's half-round profile, will accommodate the radius and depth of just about any style acoustic,electric or bass guitar (with the exception of the round back type guitars such as Ovation) The bottom of your instrument will never be resting or accidentally bumping on a sharp square edge. This lining is also safe to all guitar finishes.
