It was and is a school band kit, buth these sound awesome for recording, and rock bands, as my ex drummer used it at rehearsals and was amazed at the crack and dynamics it had. Killer drum! It has the hard plastic Ludwig case, and stand. The case is excellent, the stand has a lot of marks and dents where it was screwed too tight, but works perfectly, and most marks are hidden when assembled. Hope this goes to a player! Things to know about us #1 We do not take paypal.  WE DO NOT TAKE PAYPAL #2 We do not take credit cards over the phone, the fees and uncertainty have gotten too expensive. #3. We ship UPS, but have no problem with a pickup should you want to use another carrier. We go to the local post office every 2-3 weeks- it’s a long slow laborious process, so should you insist on USPS please keep in mind it could be 3 weeks from the time we receive payment before we ship via USPS. #4 We will ship outside the 48 states. Canada, we love you, but the USPS has taken up to 12 weeks due to customs. If you want us to use them, once we drop it off <B>the shipment is no longer our problem</B>. You’re asking us to use the USPS means you agree to this. #5 We use no reserve auctions. Once a bid is placed, the buy it now disappears. We will not end an auction once we have a bid, unless there is a problem we overlooked with the item being auctioned. #6 A personal check is fine- over 10 feedbacks, and no negatives, and we will not hold your order for the check to clear. We’re easy, and so far y’all have been straight up. Money orders and certified checks are also fine. #7 Picking it up locally is always good. We hate boxing. Might even buy you lunch if it was something big we didn’t want to box. #8We like to see payment in a reasonable amount of time. Ebay is not the end all be all for us, and we all get busy (we being you and me), but I’d appreciate knowing what’s going on, and we like to see payment within 5-8 days depending on how far from NC you are. We get more irritated with no communication then we do with being told you’re running late, so let us know.  #9 In regards to Shipping- we ship from UPS from zip code 28023, China Grove, NC, 30 miles north of Charlotte on I-85. Weight and dimensions (when applicable) are listed above. We list a high to low shipping cost- southeast or east coast is the lowest, west coast/pacific north west is the most expensive. If there is a boxing/handling/materials fee, it’s included. If you’re between us and the west coast, and the few dollars difference is an issue, I would suggest looking up ups charges at www.ups.com, as chances are we won’t respond in time to a request- it’s not unreasonable to ask, we just stay pretty busy and frankly am tired of sending out loads of emails with shipping charges.
