Description
This a hard-to-find, mid-century Martin Committee large bore (or medium-large bore, as the #3 stamping on the second valve casing indicates) in as-new totally restored/refinished condition. Serial #218033 puts it circa 1961. Bore measures .465 inside the 2nd valve slide. Absolutely no dings or dents. New felts, springs & pads. Engraving on the bell slightly faded from buffing but still legible. Nice lacquer finish. Whoever did this restoration did a superb job of it! I also think this horn was made on a Wednesday, because the compression and smoothness of the valves is exemplary; could not be better. I've owned and played maybe 20 "vintage" Committees and this is the best ever. Intonation is superb with all the slides pulled in, unlike most Committees. Included is a purple Pro-Tec gig bag and a Monette LT B2L lead mouthpiece which is great on this horn. Shipping to the lower 48 ONLY. Return accepted within 7 days of receipt. Why am I selling this horn? Just bought a Monette 2000 LT and now need to pay for it! Thanks for your interest!
