Description This KING model 1140 BBb tuba has undergone a complete restoration.  There are no dents, the lacquer is new, and the valves are fantastic. This is a great tuba for a school student or amateur musician. KING tubas are made in the U.S.A. in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.As far as size is concerned, the model 1140 is sort-of in-between what would be referred to as a "full size" tuba and a "3/4"-size tuba. The bore size is .640" and the bell diameter is 15 inches.No mouthpiece, case, bag, or accessories are included.This model of tuba can also be converted to a shoulder-mount marching instrument.  The marching-style mouthpipe and clamps are NOT included, but are available for sale from Conn-Selmer dealers.During restoration the bell rim was patched (see picture) and an area on the upper bow was covered with a guard (see picture).SHIPPING: We have no control over the eBay shipping estimator thing (below).  We seriously doubt that this tuba could safely be squeezed into an under-130-inch carton.  More likely, it will have to be placed into an OVER-130-inch carton, which will define more expensive shipping costs.  We would be shipping via FedExGround, and this would be their largest size range of carton allowable (131" - 160")...usually from at *least* $90 to over $100 (??)
