IF YOU'RE TIRED OF LOSING AN AUCTION AT THE LAST MINUTE HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO "BUY IT NOW" FOR ONLY $975!! KING LEGEND 607F PROFESSIONAL TENOR TROMBONE W/ F attachment THE $975 BUY IT NOW PRICE MAKES THIS THE PERFECT TROMBONE FOR THE ADVANCING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT OR ADULT PLAYING IN A COMMUNITY BAND OR CHURCH ORCHESTRA JUST COMPLETELY RESTORED TO LIKE NEW CONDITION The list price on this model is $1900! My "buy it now" price is less than half of that, making this a bargain you shouldn't pass up! A NEW MOUTHPIECE AND A BRAND NEW DELUXE KING WOODSHELL CASE IS INCLUDED! Conn-Selmer has finally given this model its proper place in the King product line. Now marketed correctly in the “Legend” professional line alongside the 2B, 3B and 4B (2102, 2103 and 2104), the 607F is an outstanding all-around trombone. The yellow brass bell, nickel silver trim and yellow brass body make this a beautiful looking instrument that plays and sounds as great as it looks. The King 607 has the same specs as the Bach Stradivarius 36B trombone - .525" bore, 8" yellow brass bell, brass outer slide tubes. It plays just a great, but at a lower price. The 607F is a perfect combination of the King 3B plus and 3B F attachment trombones. It has the 8” yellow brass bell from the 3B and the .525 medium tenor bore from the 3B plus. The stringed linkage F rotor actually has a shorter travel than the 3B mechanical linkage, providing quicker action. The larger .525 bore allows for a more free blowing response than the .508” bore King 3B model. King doesn’t make the 3B Plus with an F attachment. The 607F is the only way to get the 3B plus bore with the F attachment. This trombone plays every bit as good as the King 3B's I have for sale. With the larger 3B plus bore it's a little more free blowing so you might like it better than a 3B!! IT'S A REAL BARGAIN ON SALE NOW FOR ONLY $975!! King now uses this exact style F attachment with the string linkage on it's new 3B trombones in place of their traditional mechanical linkage. Also - the bells are identical and the tuning slide is actually interchangable with the 3B. I just tried it with the 3B I currently have listed on Ebay. With the more free blowing medium bore, I actually like it a little better than a 3B!! - and I've been playing a 3B since 1966!! Don't pass up this chance to get a great playing horn at a great price!! The craftsmen who really knew how to build horns at the King Instrument Company in Eastlake, Ohio crafted this fine trombone. The serial number is 976XXX which dates it to 1985. That makes this the last of the great King trombones made before the company was sold to the Eurpoean conglomerate UMI. This is not your typical used instrument. It has been taken apart, dents removed, carefully reassembled, highly polished and a new baked lacquer finish applied! The slide is fast and smooth. The inner slide stockings are excellent with no plating wear. The restoration was done by a respected local shop with over 40 years experience in woodwind and brass instrument restorations and repairs. Some of their employees worked at the H.N. White and King factories in Cleveland and Eastlake, Ohio. I have personally used this company for over 8 years for my band members and myself. I had this shop overhaul and silver plate my “baby” – a 1971 Besson euphonium and for me that’s like trusting someone to operate on your kid. (I’ve had the horn longer than my kids!) It really looks great and actually plays better than when I bought it new in college. This trombone looks and plays great! The King F attachment assembly is unique with 2 tuning slides. King designed their F attachments as an “E” to “F” system. The longer tuning slide can be pulled to “E” to allow playing Eb, D etc in normal 3rd & 4th positions (plus the trigger) and adding the peddle B natural that isn’t possible with a standard F attachment. The 607F produces a nice warm tone, but can be as bright as you need when pushed. Keep a 6-1/2AL and a 12C mouthpiece (not included) with it and you can do anything from lead jazz to 3rd trombone concert work. The 12C brightens the tone letting you cut through a jazz or concert band with ease. The 6-1/2AL allows a full warm tone that works well with 3rd trombone to 1st parts and solo work. An advanced player might choose a 5G (my peronal choice) and really take advantage of the medium bore with a big full sound throughout the instrument's range. The 607F is value priced below the King 3B F attachment horn, with a list price of $1900, and a discount store price of around $1600, making this a super horn at a super price. My buy it now price is even better than that! The 607 used to be marketed as a King Tempo II. King still considered it a top model, but with the Tempo name it sold for less than the King 3B. When Conn-Selmer purchased the King Instrument Company they dropped the Tempo name and now sell the same horn in their “Legend” professional series. BUY IT NOW FOR ONLY $975! Product Specs from King: Legend, .525" (13.34mm) bore with F attachment, 8" (203mm) yellow brass bell, brass outer slides, lacquer finish, 6-1/2AL mouthpiece. A medium-bore instrument, ideal for a wide range of performance styles. This trombone plays GREAT! The slide is smooth, and fast from 1st to 7th position!. The King 607F is an outstanding all around trombone for jazz as well as solo and concert band or symphonic work. King trombones have long been the choice of professional trombone players from Tommy Dorsey in the 1940’s to legendary trombonists Urbie Green, Kai Winding, JJ Johnson and present day artists like Jiggs Whigham. Last winter a 608F (same trombone except with a rose brass bell) was sold on Ebay by a professional trombonist from Maynard Ferguson’s band. It was his choice for professional playing. This model is King’s best-kept secret! AN OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL TROMBONE!! A REAL PLAYER! DON’T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY!!! TERMS OF SALE: USA & CANADA SALES ONLY. SORRY, NO EXCEPTIONS. *PayPal ONLY PLEASE* Feel free to ask questions before you buy. Items are always available for local inspection and pickup. Please read the 100% positive feedback from my past customers and BUY WITH CONFIDENCE! Sold AS IS - NO RETURNS This item is guaranteed to be as described. I take great care to make sure you are receiving a good quality instrument and to describe it accurately. The pictures tell the story. I’ve personally play tested it, so there’s nothing to worry about. I’m a band director and professional musician playing tuba to trumpet and everything in between. I play test everything I sell. If I wouldn’t have it in my house, I won’t send it to yours! I’m just a band director that’s collected too many instruments and other "horn stuff", between the community band that I direct (plus 3 others I play in – yes, I’m a little crazy!) and 2 kids that played in band in school. It’s time to “thin the herd”, so I’ll be listing some more instruments and “horn stuff” soon. UPDATE: Thanks to all who have bought “stuff from my closet”. This has gone so well, that I have opened an Ebay store and will be looking for more nice items (mostly band instruments and “horn stuff”) to offer for sale on Ebay as well as selling for my band members and friends. If there is something you’d like, just email me with your request and I’ll try to find it for you. Email at jrobinson152@neo.rr.com Please note: Items are always available for local inspection. This item is also for sale locally. I will have to end the auction early if it sells locally. SHIPPING TERMS: Shipping will be UPS, so I must have a street address - NO PO BOXES! S&H is $ 35.00 including insurance to most of continental US. California and the rest of the West Coast is $50. Please wait for invoice before paying from these locations. UPS shipping to Canada is $100. I've checked and UPS is the cheapest way. (Alaska and Hawaii will be extra – email me for correct charges before paying) Please note that S&H means shipping and handling. This covers more than just postage. It includes postage (or UPS charges), insurance, delivery confirmation, packaging materials and time, etc. My charges are not the highest on eBay or the lowest. They are usually about average or less than the average price compared to other like items shipped on eBay. I'll try to ship within one business day or same day that payment is received.
