It just needed a new finish to make it look as great as it sounds!    All serial numbers  match on the slide, bell section and tuning slide!  Serial number is 289xxx  which dates it to around 1947-48!  This is a Tommy Dorsey era trombone at the height of his career!  Tommy Dorsey played a King 2B liberty trombone throughout his career.     YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT THE CRAFTSMANSHIP AND METAL USED IN THESE   VINTAGE HN WHITE TROMBONES!   THIS ONE'S READY FOR ANOTHER 60+ YEARS OF FANTASTIC MUSIC!     This trombone is ready to be an everyday player.  You'll fall in love with the tone and response of this classic instrument.  I personally play a similar one in one of my bands.  The first two trombone players in my adult community band play early 1950's HN White King 2B's similar to this trombone that I've had overhauled and they just love them.  The tone they get as a section is amazing!     A new mouthpiece and a vintage King deluxe woodshell case are included.     I play tested this one in a band rehearsal last night where I play lead trombone and the tone is amazing!!  Nothing beats the response and tone of a true vintage HN White King trombone!     THE SLIDE ACTION IS EXCELLENT – QUIET, FAST AND SMOOTH!!!     This is not your typical used instrument.  It has had most dents removed, all joints inspected, taken apart where necessary, old lacquer removed, carefully reassembled, highly polished and a new baked lacquer finish applied!  It looks and plays like new!    The restoration was done by a respected local shop with over 40 years experience in woodwind and brass instrument restorations and repairs.  Some of their employees worked at the H.N.
