Jones Anglo Concertina - Jeffries style Start Price USD 300.00 Current Price USD 3,100.00 Time Left - Bid Count 29 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Saturday, August 23, 2008 End Time Saturday, August 30, 2008 Location Toronto, Ontario See more about 'Jones Anglo Concertina - Jeffries style' Description  An attractive 34 button plus air concertina in C/G.  This Jones concertina has two buttons at the 'drone' position of the left hand.  One is the usual C both directions and the other is C push (one octave higher) and D# pull.  The other extra buttons on the left hand are a bird call and a whistle.  On the accidental row, the lowest button (furthest from the thumb)  has a G# on the push.  The reeds are laid out in a parallel format in the same way as Jeffries instruments and the sound has a similar growl to that of a Jeffries.  On the right hand, the accidental, working from the thumb end downwards (out/in) are D#/C#, G/G#, Bb/C#, F/A and D#/C.The 6-fold bellows are original, airtight and in good condition with a couple of small professional repairs.  The bellows have gold tooling that is somewhat worn.  It also has very attractive Jones green and gold papers that were only used on Jones' better instruments.  The concertina has been restored and is in modern concert pitch (A=440).  Excellent for session playing and singing accompaniment.Although the system won't let me put the price on in Canadian dollars, I would want payment in Canadian dollars at the exchange rate prevalent on the 'Universal Currency Converter' at the time the auction ends.  If you wish to pay by Paypal this would take longer to process as it takes time to clear in the bank and other methods are preferred due to the high fees.Shipping and insurance to be paid buy the winning bidder.
