It has been used weekly since its installation in 1968 untill it was replaced by a new Casavant organ 2 1/2 years ago. The organ has 13 ranks (unified) and 19 stops with a detached 2 manual console. Each side of the organ is approximately 10 ft wide and 4 feet 7 inches deep. The right side of the organ is approximately 18½ feet high. All parts of the organ are in working condition except for the sfortzando switch. The organ includes: Swell: Gemshorn 8’ Bourdon 8’ Rohr Flote 4’ Gemshorn 4’ Fifteenth 2’ Cymbel Schalmei 8’ Tremulant Great: Prinzipal 8’ Holz Gedackt 8’ Octav 4’ Gedackt 2’ Mixture Pedal: Gedackt Bass 16’ Prinzipal 8’ Holz Gedackt 8’ Choral Bass 4’ Rausch Quint Fagot 16’ Schalmei 4’ Swell to Great Swell to Pedal Great to Pedal Swell Pedal Crescendo Pedal SFZ Pedal After a generous estate gift and capital campaign St. John’s congregation entered into a contact with the Casavant Organ Company and purchased a new $400,000 organ which was installed in 2006. The Johnson Organ is installed in the church balcony and the new organ is installed in the front of the church. The current organ will remain in place until such time as it is sold so you may arrange to play the organ before it is removed. The buyer will be responsible for the removal and shipping of the Johnson organ. The Johnson organ is being offered with no reserve and it is our hope that it can provide years of service for another congregation.
