Description
This is a full size violin that was graduated, varnished and set up by John Silakowski. John started with a Guarneri model violin "in the white". He chose these "white" violins based on their quality and adherence to exact Guarneri model measurements. He graduated both the top and back to his own specifications. He also worked down the bass bar to his standard. The varnish is the same as John has been using for the last few years on his bench made violins. This violin exhibits the fine detail, fit and finish that John is known for, and best of all it has that great sound that John's violins are known for. John's 5-string violins are in such demand that he has a waiting list. He is able to work a few of these revoiced violins into his schedule while focusing on building the 5-strings. This violin is an incredible value, you are getting the "Silakowski sound" for a fraction of the cost of his bench made violins. Why am I selling this violin? I have a few of these revoiced violins that I recieved as part of a trade with John. I plan to keep a couple and sell a couple. I am sure you will love this violin, so I am offering your money back (less shipping and insurance) if you are not satisfied. Just let me know within 7 days of recieving the violin, if you wish to return the violin for a refund. This violin comes with a new oblong case and student quality bow. If you are in the Dayton Ohio area, you are welcome to try this violin out in person. Shipping and insurance is $25.00. Or you may pick it up in person near Dayton, Ohio.
