The bore starts at .353 at the mouthpiece receiver going to .450 at the main tuning slide and continues to expand to .460 at the tapered tuning crook. It finishes expanding at .470 going into the 3rd piston. This Callet JAZZ responds like a small bore trumpet while increasing volume and projection. A more open bell throat increases warmth and richness with a lightening quick response.   This is a great Jazz horn with a dark sound. I have had the valves aligned by Bob Reeves in Los Angeles. Also, the mouthpiece receiver gap was adjusted by Charles Melk in Wisconsin. Mechanically this trumpet's valves and slides are in great condition. It comes with a Jerome Callet Vari-cup mouthpiece and a Callet Case. I am playing with a salsa band and have a new bright trumpet for lead. New this horn is over $2000.
