The violin bears its original label, and is branded around the end pin. It is accompanied by its original certificate of authenticity, issued by Raffaello Di Biagio. Authentic Label Brand Original Certificate ITALIAN VIOLINS & eBay The pride and joy of having a well made authentic Italian violin is known to the violin enthusiast. There are numerous violins sold on eBay that are listed as "Italian Labeled" or "Labeled As" and followed by some Italian name that could be a fictitious name. The fact is that 99.99% of these violins are not Italian and have false labels. There are also other violins that are claimed to be Italian with no proof of the origin, and no authentic certificates. Many of these violins are sold at very low prices. I am not saying you can not find a genuine Italian violin on ebay, but I must add that, generally speaking, chances of finding an authentic Italian violin, in good condition, made by a reputable maker, and accompanied by a genuine certificate selling for less than $10,000.00 is very rare. People who know their violins are genuine Italian might be willing to sell them below the market price on ebay, but no one would give it away, knowingly. eBay is a great place to sell a product fast, which is an advantage for sellers. Buyers can also take advantage of products that are sold below market price, providing they are purchased from reputable sellers; particularly those who stand behind their listed items, and provide a return policy. I have tried hard to establish myself as a reputable seller, and I believe I have achieved this goal by having a perfect feedback record. I do have a return policy and will accept returns with no questions asked, but I must confess that I do not wish to see my violins returned back to me; this would make me feel that I have not done an adequate job of describing my violins. To minimize returns, I always try to describe my violins very accurately, and I always praise my violins less than they deserve. I try not to raise expectations too much. Most of my buyers are often surprised when they receive their violins, because normally it exceeds their expectations. This week I am very happy to be able to offer a superb soloist Italian made violin. I am very lucky that I was in the right place at the right time to purchase a few Italian violins that are made in the shop of Raffaello Di Biagio, at a very attractive price. I am more than happy to pass a large portion of my savings to my eBay clients. The measurements are: Back: 354 mm Upper Bout: 165 mm Middle Bout: 112 mm Lower Bout: 204 mm This violin is in perfect condition. There are no cracks, open seams, or any kind of damage. The quality of this violin is exceptional. It exhibits fine Italian workmanship throughout. The scroll, like many great Italian violins is very masculine, but at the same time very graceful. The corners, edge work and arching are elegant and artistic. The f holes are beautifully carved and fluted. The inside work of this violin is just as immaculate as outside. The violin is expertly set up with new Thomastik Dominant strings, a finely fitted and carved bridge, high grade rosewood pegs with matching tail piece, chinrest and end pin. The top is made of medium grain Italian Alpine spruce. Back is made of one piece beautiful Bosnian maple. Sound It is a known fact that for centuries the best sounding violins have been produced in Italy. This recording does not do justice to the beautiful sound of this violin. There is some background noise and distortion in this recording. The sound quality was further reduced when I uploaded it on YOU TUBE. If you are really serious about this violin you can send me an e-mail and provide your e-mail address; and I will be glad to send you the MP3 files that are relatively better than the YOU TUBE version, but still far behind the live sound. Please listen to the sound samples provided below, and judge the violin’s sound for yourself. The samples were prepared with a regular inexpensive microphone. The live sound is much much better than the samples, however, the samples will give you some indication as into how this violin sounds.
