Description
- - - Guild GAD-50L Left-Handed Dreadnought Guitar - Natural - - - Includes Guild Hardshell Case! The Guild GAD-50 has the world’s most popular acoustic body shape; one that has been used for more than 70 years. The guitar features a solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a solid spruce top with scalloped bracing and a one-piece mahogany neck with traditional dovetail neck joint. Other features include an Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, ebony pearl dot-inlayed bridge pins and strap buttons, classic pearl fingerboard inlays, wood binding, bone nut and bone compensated saddle, Grover Rotomatic® tuners and a wooden arched case. This guitar has never been played! It is lightly stamped "used" on the back of the headstock. This designation means the guitar is either an overstock that the factory had to move at below-wholesale prices or it contains a minor blemish. Either way, it is a completely playable instrument, with no sacrifice of tone, structure, or playability. This guitar has a tiny dent in the lacquer behind the bridge and some light finish scratches on one corner of the headstock. There are a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes in the finish on the side of the headstock and the side of the neck. There is an extremely shallow dent in the lacquer on the side of the guitar and a few white specks in the finish beneath the lacquer clearcoat on the back of the guitar. I have included a close-up photo of each blemish below. These blemishes are much more subtle visually than they sound in the description. This guitar has a straight, true neck. The action is low and consistent without a single buzz, just the way it should be! The tone is very well balanced and projects wonderfully due to the solid construction and scalloped bracing.
