Andreas Morelli is a trade name used by Karl Herrmann for different grades of instruments. This is the highest grade. The violin is a Guarneri copy and has a beautiful one piece back. The length of the back is 35.7cm. The sound is gorgeous, the condition is very good. There are a few repairs on the top and there is also a small repair on the back, all of them insignificant. This violin was on consignment with the prestigious MAX MOELLER shop in Amsterdam for E 5000. Mrs. Moeller liked the violin a lot because it was very similar to violins that her grandfather in law Max Moeller made. He in fact came from Markneukirchen.
