Black for the late Bill Schultz who was the former President of Fender Musical Instruments (Serial number is 000). This incredible piece of history can be yours with the highest bid. The inlay work was performed by Bill Swank and Larry Sifel. Lets go over a few of the features of this beauty. The body is a SOLID PIECE OF QUILT MAPLE (Not a cap), Neck is Birdseye Maple with a Pau Ferro fingerboard with an inlaid Tree Of Life, 3 Gold Lace Sensors assembled by Don Lace himself I am told. The PROTOTYPE was the only one built with the vintage style hardware. Mr. Bill Schultz was so impressed with the Dream Factory work on this guitar that he had them create an additional 29 for the 29 Master Elite Dealers. I was told that when certain Artists visited Mr. Schultz they would pick this guitar up in his office and try it out.  If you happen to be the ultimate Fender collector, You just might need to add this one to your collection. It is certainly not cheap but with SRV # 1s and EVH Frankensteins selling near 30K, this one could truly be a bargain. I believe you would have to have a guitar from the likes of Don Randall, George Fullerton, Freddie Tavares or Clarence Leo Fender himself to have a guitar with a more important FENDER history or provenence.
