Jeff Beck's '54 Esquire, which he bought for a whopping $60 from the original owner back in 1964, is the sound heard on his original recordings with the Yardbirds. Apparently the first owner of the guitar had attempted, albeit unsuccessfully, to contour to body to resemble a strat. Jeff also went through a number of necks while he 'owned the Esquire and the current neck is a '57. The guitar was given to Seymour Duncan in '74 and it is in his possession today. For this very special limited edition tribute, the Fender Custom Shop has gone to great lengths to painstakingly recreate every part of Jeff's actual '54 Esquire and features an Ash body with white blonde lacquer finish, '57 style soft "V" Maple neck with 7.25" radius, special '51 Nocaster bridge pickup and single ply black pickguard. Every nick, every scratch and even the crude "home improvement" style contours have been replicated as accurately as possible. Also included are a Jeff Beck box set and 8x10 photograph, DVD interview with Jeff Beck, Custom Shop limited edition decal, vintage style gig bag and limited edition flight case.
