' Description I'm selling this wonderful Fender Fretless Precision bass after all these years because I injured my wrist and have to downsize to a short scale bass.  This is a great playing, great sounding instrument.  I will miss it!!   The Rosewood fingerboard and neck are in great condition and straight as could be.  I have this set up for medium action but it can be adjusted easily for individual playing styles.  The body is "Alpine White" which has mellowed slightly over the years to a rich hue.  The front of the body is in excellent condition.  There are some very fine scratches in the finish as you'd expect in a bass nearly 30 years old .  The bass includes its original stainless steel pickup and bridge covers (not pictured in photos). There are a few blemishes on the back of the body: faint stains from a leather strap during storage in the case, a small ding and some strap stains by the bottom strap peg.   I've tried to get the photos to be as representative as possible of the bass.  I'm also including the original case at no charge.  It's very clean inside, but is clearly lovingly used on the outside (minor scrapes and dents).  Serial Numbers indicate this bass is from 1978 (which fits with my purchase in during the winter of 1979/80):Fingerboard headstock serial number:  S895513Back neck plate serial number: 708617Last year I replaced the tone pot with a top of the line potentiometer.  (I will provide the orginal pot with the shipment to the successful bidder).  With that one exception, this bass is all original!  What a sound!  I've used a lot of different strings to get different character, and this bass always has a great fretless bloom and very good tonal range!Bid with confidence!!!  I will sell internationally, provided you pick up the additional shipping and insurance costs, and any required duty.  Paypal only please!
