Tone Quality The instrument has a distinctive look about it, and is matched only by its professional tone quality. It was built on a traditional Stradivari internal form. It is extremely comfortable to play, especially for a person with smaller fingers. The tone is round, clear, mature, and captivating with many colors to work with. Responds immediately to virtuoso bowing techniques.. Projection is loud, but not objectionable... very comfortable under the ear. Resonance and sustain are impressive for a new instrument with very little play-in time. This instrument can be used for orchestra, and ensemble work, and would make an excellent soloist violin. The lower register is deep and warm with rich overtones. The upper register is clean, open, and refined… with a beautiful Italian soprano voice. Excellent response in 7th position and below. No wolf tones. If you live near Philadelphia, please make an appointment to inspect, and play the instrument. The violin does not come with a bow, but I can mate one to the instrument if required. A new carrying case is included. Visit www.jgammuto.com for additional information on my violins.
