Originally from Sicily, Falcone came to the United States at the age of fourteen and began tuning pianos at sixteen. Troubled by the inferior, mass-produced character of most pianos of the day and the incredibly high price of high quality pianos, he set out to build an instrument that was the highest caliber and affordability. To make his piano designs as good as they could be, Falcone borrowed from many of the famous European designs. To achieve the best sounding pianos, German components were used and of course are still used today.
