OLDS & SON TRUMPET LOS ANGELES sn # 45390 w/CASE' Description This is a vintage (1950s ?) trumpet from the LA plant of F. E. Olds & Son in case with extras.  I know nothing about trumpets, so selling as is, but I will mention anything that obviously looks defective.  I did blow it and it has a rich sound.   No cracks or chips of the brass.  Two tiny dents on the main stem of the horn---see my closeup photo of these.   The lacquer finish has worn off in places.  The valves have mother-of-pearl tops.  The valves move up and down freely--no sticking.   Trumphet is missing the slide that slides into the lower bracket.  Each valve has a number engraved on it---1, 2 and 3.  The middle valve has what I belive is the serial number engraved "45390".  Engraved on exterior of horn reads "OLDS F. E. OLDS & SON LOS ANGELES, CALIF."  The mouthpiece detaches and is engraved "Olds".  No damage to the mouthpiece.  Opening of horn measures 4 3/4" diameter.  Also included are:  "New Stone Lined" Cup-Mute by Humes & Berg Mfg Co.,  almost empty bottle of Holton Valve Oil and 2 metal horn pieces---see my photo.  A great horn for restoring.  Please email if you have any questions.  Buyer to pay exact shipping cost.  Thanks for looking!
