Description
extremely, old Tuba with 4 rotary valves. The very nice sign reads: "V. F. Cerveny & Fils premiers recompenses Paris 1889 Chicago 1893 Exposition universelle 1889 Paris " . Size of the horn is 37,5 inch/95,5cm. The bell meassures 13 1/4inch/33,5 cm. The length of the tubing is 362cm / 144 3/4inches, so I guess the tuba plays in F (?) . all valves are moveable, but not easy and fast. (need oil) . One of the triggers is gone, but this should be not a big problem at all. 4 slides are moveable. there are some old signs of repair and some minor dents and bents. The instrument needs some cleaning and service. (see pictures). It has a nice garland. Insured shipping to USA or CA amounts to $ 99. A rare instrument for restore for a museum, military band or private collector. Please also view my other auctions with instruments. Shipping several items saves shippingfees.
