Here's an AWESOME Elkhart Conn 8D. The Conn 8D is a breed apart among double horns. Brilliant, bold sound, awesome response, and great intonation have made the 8D a staple of American orchestras. While any 8D is a good instrument, the Elkhart instruments are legendary. This one was near the end of the horns made at the legendary Elkhart factory (serial number Nxx,xxx - see pic). This horn is in terrific playing condition and good cosmetic condition. Original lacquer is 75-80%. There are minor dings here and there and some scars from dent removal (see pics).Valves are very good, and this horn plays great like you'd expect an Elkhart 8D to. Pics tell the rest of the story!
