This drum was brand new just a a month ago. I have played literally 4 times. I ordered it with my kit that looksmore shallow drum.  just like this snare drum. I am just opting to go to a more shallow drum. I love this drum and it sounds great I just like the smaller drum. It has the may smic system in with a Sennhieser 604 mic in it. The mays mic system is absolutely brilliant. I have the mays mic system in all of my drums and it makes set up and tear down a snap.
