If I can program it, and I am not even close to being a "Professional" musician, then so can you.  I use my laptop with ComputerMuzys studio software to compose and record with.  The DP128 I used as an external effects processor for MIDI instruments and then feed into the laptop where I record it.  I have long since lost the Owner's Manual but I do have it as a pdf file and will burn it to a cd to send along with the DP128.  It has served me well and I know that it'll do the same for you.  You'll notice in the picture that the cap on the middle knob is missing, don't know if the cat ate it or not but I don't think I want to find out. That is the only thing wrong with this unit.  I just replaced the backup battery last year, they last from 3 to 5 years and are a 9V battery.
