Description Here is your chance to own a one of kind neck and resonator. This auction is for the neck and resonator only.  No tuners are included.  I have always loved Stellings looks but have never been crazy about their sound.  So I set out on a mission to create a Gibson style banjo with a Stelling neck.  And the pictures you see below is the result of this mission.  Mission accomplished! This neck and resonator wasn't built by some amatuer builder.  It was built by David Houchens who used to make Stelling's necks for years and still makes Stelling mandolins.  It is equal in quality to any Stelling neck and reso out there...it should be because David made a lot of them!  For obvious reasons my last name is where the Stelling name usually is on the headstock.  I designed the headstock inlays myself and was cut and inlayed by David.  The color is a beautiful dark red.  The heel is cut for 5/8" bridge, Cox rim, and a standard one piece flange.  It should work with any standard one piece flange Gibson style pot.  This neck was played about a month on and off.  It looks like it did the day I picked it up except for a small nick above the tuning peg hole thanks to my carelessness (see pic below).  It is barely noticeable especially once you put the tuning pegs on.  The neck is mahogany and has an ebony fingerboard with a Reno Flying Eagle inlay pattern.  The "Renegade" in the 22nd fret is just a decal on top of the pearl inlay.  The decal has already been removed.  You can get a luthier to put whatever name you want in the pearl or just leave it blank.  I really, really, hate to sell this neck and reso because it is so great looking.  But unfortunately because of circumstances beyond my control I need to sell it.  Please email with questions.  You will not be disappointed!!
