Description
This is a gorgeous, near mint tenor saxophone from the hey-day of Conn production. The horn is thickly gold plated and ornately engraved. These were special orders and only the most skilled workers and best engravers would work on these instruments. The engraving alone would often take weeks to do. The serial number is 225,935 and THIS SAXOPHONE IS IN NEAR MINT ORIGINAL CONDITION. There is one tiny chip (about the size of an ant) taken out of the gold on the back of the horn and some very mild darkness on the ring connecting the body tube to the bow. Otherwise it looks flawless. The horn plays great and needs no work, just your mouthpiece. JIm Germann, in Pittsburgh PA (one of the best in the business) did the pad job about two years ago and it has hardly been played since. It has flat metal resonators. I think the case is original but I'm not sure. Domestic shipping will be $65 UPS with full insurance. This includes professional packaging. International bidders: it will cost about $120-200 to your country by USPS unless your country has a 79inch girth maximum, then it will have to go UPS at a higher price.Good luck on this one-of-a-kind horn.
