Description
This is a two and a half year old Brannen solid silver Brogger Mekanik flute. This was custom built in 2006.  It cost over 12,500 when purchased. It is in beautiful condition, with yearly COA (clean, oil, adjustments) done at Brannen Brothers in Boston. The head joint is a Modern cut with a platinum riser. It has White gold springs, offset G key, C# trill key, and B foot joint.  Soldered tone holes, .016" wall thickness, and tuned to an A-442.It gets a really great range of tone colors and plays beautifully!  I hate to part with it, but I am going to pharmacy school and simply do not have the time to play anymore so it is not really being played right now. Serial number is 5713- Brannen has a list on their website of reported missing flutes, you may call their customer service representative at 781-935-9522 to check on the serial number.Brannen has made great quality flutes for over 30 years.Feel free to look at their page at http://www.brannenflutes.com/Flute comes with Brannen Brothers case, cleaning rod, and polishingcloth. (Over $300 value)For any questions, feel free to email me atMarianne.Veitch@uconn.edu. Shipping is 50.00 plus the cost for insurance. (Recommended)Please contact me prior to auction end if you would like it to be shipped internationallyAbout the Brogger Mekanik (from www.brannenflutes.com): "The Brögger Mekanik™, with its use of non-rotating shafts and full-size back connectors for all main line keys, effectively eliminates these common problems. The resulting flute is noticeably quieter with reduced friction and far less wear to its moving parts. There are two additional advantages to the Brögger Mekanik™. First, the flutemaker now has the ability to regulate the spring tension of each key independently of any other, thus allowing for a much more even feel for the performer. The second, equally important feature is the increased strength of the mechanism, especially as it applies to accidents in which the flute is dropped. We have now had 15 years of experience with this mechanism, and our experience bears out this statement in the most remarkable fashion." On Jul-02-08 at 10:10:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I plan on FedEx-ing the instrument unless otherwise requested, and I still have the original box and packing materials in which the flute was shipped to me by Brannen.
