Description
Greetings: For your consideration, one gorgeous Bourgeois custom Vintage D, with Brazilian rosewood sides and back and Adirondack top. Also has upgraded bound headstock and bound neck. This guitar has amazing tone (very balanced) and projection. It is in mint condition except for one very small ding on the back of the headstock (see picture). Other than that, no scratches, marks, no dings, etc, extremely clean. Even the back has no belt rash. Set up by an excellent luthier in the Los Angeles area for light strings with low action and no buzzing. The intonation is spot on. Plays like a dream. Frets are in great shape with plenty of saddle. I've kept it like a baby, humidified when the hydrameter gets below 40%. Great for bluegrass but also great for finger picking. Nut size on the guitar is 1 23/32. Why am I crazy enough to sell it? Kids are in college, so I'll have to pluck on my less fancy indian rosewood for awhile. If you’re not familiar with Bourgeois, Dana Bourgeois makes 300 or so guitars a year. This one would list for $7,350 because of the $3,500 upgrade charge for Brazilian rosewood. Plus, unlike Martin, dealers are limited to offering a 10% discount. That's how it is with Bourgeois, Collings and Huss & Dalton. Orig. hard shell case in perfect condition. Brazilian rosewood will become rarer as the years move on. Note: I’m including one picture of the back taken with flash so you can see the grain, but the color in normal daylight is closer to the other pictures. Following are links to Bourgeois (pantheon guitars). http://www.pantheonguitars.com/ The guitar is a 2002 but has really been babied. Payment and Shipping Sorry to be a pain, but I cannot accept paypal. (I’m losing a lot of money here so I don’t want to also pay the 3% paypal fees…it’ll be bad enough stuck with the ebay fees.) I can accept either a cashier’s check (but I’d have to wait ‘til it clears), so would recommend U.S Postal Money Orders or account wire transfer. Shipping is $50 within the U.S., Fed Ex ground, insured. If you’re in Canada you or Europe you must contact me before bidding please for shipping price, method of payment, etc. Plus, you may be responsible for import duty--that depends on your country. I’m an honest guy (read my feedback), and there are no hidden issues with this guitar. CONTACTING ME Please write with other questions. OR call with questions at (310) 498-6745. Or write and I'll call you. I'm in California time so please don't call in the middle of the night. Thanks for looking!!
