The kit was ordered for recording use and the sizes are incredibly versatile.  The bass drum is 20x20 with a built-in drum riser on the batter hoop.  You can read about it on the Ayotte website below.  The rest of the kit is as follows: 10x6 tom 10x8 tom 12x10 tom 14x13 floor tom 16x15 floor tom The sizes allow for a small jazz set up, or Bonham-esque 12in hanging tom with two huge floor toms, or anything else in-between.  Tuned higher, the 10x6 is similar in note to an 8" tom. My friend used the kit for one tour and there are two notable blemishes that resulted.  The first is on the hoop of the 10x8 tom.  This could be hidden under one of the lugs or sent to Ayotte to be fixed.  The second is a 4" scratch on top of the bass drum.  The scratch does not go through the finish coat (i.e., not into the actual wood), so it can be buffed out.  Finally, the powder coating near where the bass spur rotates up and down for storage has worn a bit.  This really can't been seen other than when you're on the floor looking directly at the spur mount, but I want to be as accurate as possible.  Otherwise, the drums are in excellent condition and show minimal signs of having been toured. The drums look and sound amazing...$7900 worth.  That's what my friend paid.  This is a chance to own a set that you can be assured no one else owns.  It also sounds like nothing else out there.  Ayotte's are in a league of their own.
