I was utterly surprised when I tried this instrument.  It made me laugh out loud, as it was just such a pleasure to play.  Essentially a small flugelhorn, this instrument has the best of all attributes.  It is warm, dark, and shades just beautifully.  Think Martin Committee, and then bump everything up a major third!  Very bendable, very expressive, and very exciting.Unplated brass valves are quite snug, and compression is really very good.  All slides are free and moving well, and there are no significant flaws or issues with the horn.  It is in bare brass, and is free of corrosion.
