Near Mint Antique German Bakelite ROLMONICA Harmonica & Music Rolls c.1925-28 If you are a collector particular about condition (and who isn't?) this item is sure to please. After careful examination i can not spot any flaws. The ROLMONICA harmonica attached within the bakelite case is German made with stampings on both top and bottom, "ROLMONICA, Made by ROLMONICA MUSIC, CO.", with smaller type reading "MADE IN GERMANY" at four points (each end top and bottom). The bakelite case is stamped "MADE IN USA" on metal hinge clip at top. Front of case reads, "ROLMONICA, TRADE MARK REG" at top, and "PATD. 11-23-25, 6-5-28 OTHER PATENTS PENDING". Inside of case reads, "GENUINE BAKELITE". Rolmonica player works all the way with great little wooden winding handles. Inner rubber strip is still in perfect shape. One of the music rolls will come already inside player as seen in photos. ROLMONICA comes with a total of 3 music rolls and 4 music roll boxes, one being empty. All boxes are dated 1928. Songs or tunes listed on boxes are as follows, R-381 "YOU ARE LOVE", R-443 "PARADE OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS", R446 "PAGAN LOVE SONG", and R447 "WHAT A GIRL-WHAT A NIGHT". I am not sure as to which music roll is missing. To be clear, 3 music rolls are included in this auction and 4 boxes. Boxes show minimal wear with one having a torn flap which is tucked away in box. NOTICE: A closer examination of the music rolls included in this Lot which was prompted by a question from a fellow Ebayer (see Q & A below) revealed that NONE of the music rolls included in this Lot correspond with a matching box. So, the winning bidder of course will get the boxes of the songs/tunes mentioned and pictured in this listing but the actual music rolls you will be getting are as follows: S-208 "MOCKING BIRD", S-246 "GEORGIA CAMP MEETING (CAKE WALK)", and R-434 "IV'E GOT A FEELING I'M FALLING". The beginning flap of each music roll has the number and name of each tune printed on them.
