You open the case, insert the paper roll and thread the tip into the opposite wooden roller, close the case and you're ready to go. To play, just blow through the mouthpiece and crank the lower level. The top crank is to rewind your roll. This Rolmonica has a 11-3-25 Patent Date and was made by the Rolmonica Music Company of Baltimore, MD. The actual harmonica is marked made in Germany and has embossed on the interior 'Genuine Bakelite'. Very Nice interment and I would consider this piece to be in near perfect mint condition! A roll is included with the Rolmonica but I was unable to find a title or name for the music sheet or on it.
