SN#10789 dates it to 1911 as do the Golden orange top and reddish back and sides finish, oval sound hole with the two inlaid rope rings around it, elevated pick guard, and logo on the paddle style headstock. Great condition with some scuffs from use. Pickguard says pat. mar 30 09. Appears to be all original. Still has the original label with penciled Mandolin A1 and sn#. Order lot number on heelblock is 1302. Real joy is the playability and tone. This baby produces the sweetest sounds I've ever heard with clear bell like trebles and deep throaty resonant lows.
